The title compound (61 mg, 60%) as a white powder was prepared from N′-(5-bromo-4-(4-chlorophenyl)pyridin-2-yl)-2-(2-methyl-6-(trifluoromethyl)pyridin-3-yl)acetohydrazide (100 mg, 0.20 mmol) in glacial acetic acid (0.6 mL) and (trifluoromethyl)benzene (1.8 mL) by the procedures analogous to those described for 6-bromo-7-(4-chlorophenyl)-3-((6-(trifluoromethyl)pyridin-3-yl)methyl)-[1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-a]pyridine (Example 56D). LC/MS (method B): retention time=1.83 min, [M+H]+=481.0.
