Tert-butyl 2-(2-hydroxy-1,1-dimethyl-4-oxo-7-(2-phenylethynyl)-1,4-dihydronaphthalene-3-carboxamido)acetate (68 mg, 153 μmol) was dissolved and stirred in TFA (2 mL) at room temperature for 30 minutes. The reaction was concentrated, suspended in hexanes, filtered, washed with hexanes, and dried in a vacuum oven to give the title compound. MS (ESI) m/z: Calculated; 389.4: Observed; 390.0.
