Procedure

Material from Example 72 was treated with 65% sulfuric acid as described in Example 65 to give the desired product as a viscous oil. TLC on silica gel with 70:30 hexane-ethyl acetate showed Rf=0.57. Mass spec. (m+H)+ =329.0641; calcd., 329.0653 (79Br).
