An operation similar to that in Example 73 (1) was performed using ethyl 5-bromo-2-ethylthiophene-3-carboxylate (5.00 g) synthesized in Example 69 (4) and tetrahydro-4H-thiopyran-4-one (6.62 g) to give the title compound (4.16 g, 73%).
