Procedure

Using general procedure C, 2-bromothiophene was coupled with 2-pyrrolidinone with the reaction time of 16 h. Chromatography gave 158 mg (95%) of the title compound as a solid. 1H NMR (CDCl3, 300 MHz): δ 6.94−6.86 (m, 2H), 6.53 (br s, 1H), 3.89 (t, 2H, J=7.2 Hz), 2.63 (t, 2H, J=8.1 Hz), 2.24 (p, 2H, J=7.5 Hz).
