Procedure
In a manner similar to that of Example 14, the title compound of Example 12 (0.80 g) was coupled to 1-cyclopropyl-6,7-difluoro-1,4-dihydro-4-oxo-3-quinoline carboxylic acid in the presence of DBU, and the product was similarly subjected to catalytic hydrogenation to remove the benzyl group, yielding 0.24 g of the title compound, mp 267°-270°, [α]D20 66.3°(DMSO). NMR data was the same as for the racemic compound of Example 22.
Workup
- customto remove the benzyl group
