Procedure

3.790 g of Donepezil is dissolved in 70 ml of ethyl acetate. A solution (35 ml) of benzenesulfonic acid (1.852 g) in acetone is added slowly and drop-wisely. The solid precipitated is filtered under suction to give the title compound.
