5-(Benzyloxy)-3H-imidazo[4,5-b]pyridine (0.10 g, 0.44 mmol) and 1,3-difluoro-2-(trifluoromethyl)benzene (0.12 g, 0.67 mmol) were dissolved in DMF (1.0 mL) and Cs2CO3 (0.29 g, 0.89 mmol) was added. The reaction mixture was heated to 80° C. overnight. The solution was then diluted with ether and washed with water. The aqueous layer was back extracted with additional ether. The combined organic portions were washed with brine, dried over MgSO4 and concentrated under reduced pressure to give the title compound.
