To a solution of N-(3,5-dibromopyrazin-2-yl)-2-iodoacetamide (See Example 5.B) (1.0 g, 2.376 mmol) and diisopropylethylamine (1.038 mL, 5.94 mmol) in acetonitrile (10 mL) was added (cis)-4-methoxycyclohexanamine hydrochloride (0.413 g, 2.495 mmol). The solution was stirred at 55° C. for 3 h. The resulting precipitate was filtered and washed with acetonitrile and dried under reduced pressure to afford the title compound (0.442 g, 1.29 mmol, 55% yield). MS (ESI) m/z 341.3 [M]+, 343.3 [M+2]+.
