To a solution of 3,5-dimethyl-4-(4-(trifluoromethyl)-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)phenol (intermediate 26) (12.6 g, 49 mmol) in 2-methyltetrahydrofuran (70 mL) was added cesium carbonate (23.5 g, 72 mmol) and the solution of mesylate from step 2. The reaction was heated to 65° C. for 5 h. The reaction was then cooled to room temperature and water (80 mL) was added. The aq. layer was split and the organic solution was used in the next step without isolation.
