Procedure
5-{3-[7-(4-Fluoro-phenyl)-imidazo[1,2-a]pyridin-3-yl]-phenylamino}-[1,3,4]oxadiazole-2-carboxylic acid ethyl ester (120 mg, 0.27 mmol) and 5N NaOH (0.5 ml, 2.5 mmol) in dioxane (2 ml) was stirred and heated at 100° C. for 1 hour. After cooling to RT, 5N HCl (0.5 ml) was added. The mixture was diluted with Et2O and the liquid was decanted off. The residue was treated with EtOH and the solid was collected by filtration. This solid was suspended in EtOH (3 ml) and heated at reflux for 15 minutes. The volatiles were removed in vacuo and the residue was purified by preparative HPLC to give the title compound (12 mg).
