Procedure
A solution of 3-(4-chloro-5-methyl-thiophene-2-carbonyl)-3-propyl-pyrrolidine-1-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester (0.16 g, 0.43 mmoles) in a mixed solvent of methanol and dichloromethane (3 ml/3 ml) was added a solution of hydrochloride acid in anhydrous ether (1M, 10 ml). The solution was stirred at room temperature over night, and concentrated under reduced pressure. The residue was triturated with hexanes and diethyl ether to yield (4-chloro-5-methyl-thiophen-2-yl)-(3-propyl-pyrrolidin-3-yl)-methanone hydrochloride as solid (0.129 g, 97%). [M+H]+: 272
