217.1 mg (1.89 mmol) of methanesulfonyl chloride were added dropwise with cooling to 340 mg (1.46 mmol) of 2-(6-(2-fluorophenyl)pyridin-3-yloxy)ethanol and 442.5 mg (4.37 mmol) of triethylamine in 25 ml of methylene chloride. After 7 h at room temperature, the mixture was extracted with water, and the organic phase was separated and concentrated. Yield: 394 mg (87%).
