Into a 100 mL round-bottom flask, was placed a solution of tert-butyl 2-(6-(trifluoromethyl)cinnolin-4-ylamino)acetate (as prepared in the previous step, 200 mg, 0.61 mmol, 1.00 equiv) in dichloromethane (5 mL) and CF3COOH (0.2 mL). The reaction mixture was stirred overnight at room temperature, and then was concentrated under vacuum. The title compound was obtained as a yellow solid.
