A mixture of 2-chloro-N-methoxy-N-methyl-isonicotinamide (800 mg, 4 mmol), morpholine (452 mg, 5.2 mmol), sodium tert-butoxide (500 mg, 5.2 mmol), 1,3-bis(2,6-di-isopropylphenyl)imidazol-2-ylidene(1,4-naphthoquinone palladium(0) dimer in dioxane (4 mL) was stirred at 80° C. overnight. The mixture was diluted with ethyl acetate, washed with water and purified by flash column to give N-methoxy-N-methyl-2-morpholin-4-yl-isonicotinamide.
