Procedure
Following the amide coupling procedure described in protocol A, 500 mg 6-hydroxy-2,5,7,8-tetramethylchroman-2-carboxylic acid (2.00 mmol), 365 mg CDI (2.25 mmol) and 165 mg 2-amino-1-propanol (2.2 mmol) produced 488 mg of 6-hydroxy-N-(1-hydroxypropan-2-yl)-2,5,7,8-tetramethylchroman-2-carboxamide as a pale brown foam.
