Procedure
The mixture of O-(hexaacetyl α- and -β-rutinosyl) trichloroacetimidates is obtained by the action of hexaacetyl-1-rutinose (obtained by the action of benzylamine or ammonia on heptaacetorutinose in an aprotic solvent such as acetonitrile, tetrahydrofuran or ethyl ether) on trichloroacetonitrile, in the presence of a base, for example potassium carbonate or sodium hydride, in an aprotic solvent such as methylene chloride, chloroform or diethyl ether and under anhydrous conditions. O-[Hexaacetyl-6-O-(α-L-arabinofuranosyl)-α- and -β-D-glucopyranosyl] trichloroacetimidates are obtained in the same manner.
