In an analogous manner to Example 1B, the product from step A is reacted with half-concentrated hydrochloric acid to give 7-(1-aminomethyl-2-oxa-7-aza-bicyclo[3.3.0]-oct-7-yl)-1-cyclopropyl-6-fluoro-1,4-dihydro-4-oxo-3-quinolinecarboxylic acid hydrochloride with a melting point of 223°-226° C. (with decomposition).
