5.9 g of ethyl 5-bromo-1-cyclopropyl-6,7,8-trifluoro-1,4-dihydro-4-oxo-3-quinolinecarboxylate, 6.7 g of tributyl-vinylstannane and 0.69 g of tetrakis(triphenylphosphine)-palladium(0) are refluxed for 10 hours in 60 ml of absolute toluene under a nitrogen atmosphere. The reaction mixture is cooled to -18° C., and the solid which has precipitated is filtered off with suction, washed with toluene and dried. 4.46 g of the title compound are obtained (88% of theory).
