Procedure
8.8 g (0.04 mole) of 2-(4-chlorophenoxy)-propionyl chloride, dissolved in 20 ml of toluene, were added dropwise to a solution of 10.0 g (0.04 mole) of 1-hydroximinohexanephosphonic acid diethyl ester and 5.0 g (0.05 mole) of triethylamine in 80 ml of toluene. The mixture was subsequently stirred at 55° C. for 9 hours and cooled, the triethylamine hydrochloride which had precipitated was filtered off with suction and the organic phase was washed with water. After drying with Na2SO4, evaporating off the toluene on a rotary evaporator and removing, under a high vacuum, the solvent which still adhered, 13.8 g (77.8%) of 1-[2-(4-chlorophenoxy)-propionyloximino]-hexanephosphonic acid diethyl ester of nD22 =1.4919 were obtained.
