2-Bromo-6-[3-(2,6-dimethyl-4-pyridinyl)-[1,2,4]oxadiazol-5-yl]-4-methoxy-pyridine (24 mg) is prepared following the general method for the preparation of 3,5-dipyridyl-[1,2,4]oxadiazoles starting from 6-bromo-4-methoxy-pyridine-2-carboxylic acid (150 mg, 0646 mmol) and N-hydroxy-2,6-dimethyl-isonicotinamidine (107 mg, 0.646 mmol); LC-MS: tR=0.76 min, [M+1]+=360.91.
