t-Butyl 4-(5-fluoro-2-nitrophenyl)piperazine-1-carboxylate (1.3 mmol), 3,5-dichlorobenzylamine (1.3 mmol), N,N-diisopropylethylamine (1.3 mmol) were stirred at 80° C. in dry acetonitrile (25 mL) for 72 h. The solvent was evaporated and the residue was dissolved in dichloromethane and washed with water. The dichloromethane was evaporated and the crude compound was purified by silica chromatography using 25% ethyl acetate in hexanes to afford the title compound (41%). 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3): δ 9.38 (br, 1 H), 7.67 (d, 1 H), 7.31 (s, 1 H), 7.21 (s, 2 H), 6.13 (dd, 1 H), 5.70 (d, 1 H), 4.42 (d, 2 H), 3.54 (m, 4 H), 3.38 (m, 4 H), 1.49 (s, 9 H). MS (ESI) m/z: Calculated: 481.37; Observed: 482.6 (M+H+).
