17,17-Bis(ethylendioxy)-6α-vinylandrostane was prepared in 70% yield from 3,3:17,17-bis(ethylendioxy)-6α-formylandrostane by the procedure described above for the preparation of 3,3:17,17-bis(ethylendioxy)-6-methyleneandrostane (Prepn. 8). The crude was purified by flash chromatography (SiO2, n-hexane/EtOAc 88/12). 1H-NMR (300 MHz, acetone-d6, ppm from TMS): δ 5.47 (m, 1H), 4.91 (m, 2H), 3.94-3.73 (m, 8H), 2.00-0.67 (m, 21H), 0.88 (s, 3H), 0.83 (s, 3H),
