Reaction Steps
0.4 g 6-phenylpyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidin-5-yl)benzaldehyde (prepared as described under example 19) and 0.19 g N-chlorosuccinimide are refluxed in 10 ml chloroform for 5 d. The solvent is removed by distillation and the crude product is purified by chromatography on silica gel (dichloromethane/ethyl acetate).
