Under a nitrogen atmosphere a solution of 1.4 g (4.8 mmol) diethyl-[2-(4-trimethylsilanylethynyl-phenoxy)-ethyl]-amine in 50 mL THF is combined with 1.68 g (5.3 mmol) TBAF and stirred overnight at RT. The solvent is distilled off i.vac., the residue is taken up in water, exhaustively extracted with EtOAc and dried over Na2SO4. After the desiccant and solvent have been eliminated the residue is purified on silica gel (EtOAc/MeOH 95:5).
