Procedure

Using the procedure described in Example 306A, to a solution of 3-tert-butyl-1-(2-methylpyridin-4-yl)-1H-pyrazol-5-amine (496 mg, 2.2 mmol), from the previous step, and potassium carbonate (395 mg, 2.9 mmol) in anhydrous DCM (8 ml) was added dropwise phenyl chloroformate (0.83 ml, 6.6 mmol) as a solution in DCM (5 ml). The crude was purified by silica gel chromatography (DCM/MeOH 0-10%) to afford phenyl 3-tert-butyl-1-(2-methylpyridin-4-yl)-1H-pyrazol-5-ylcarbamate (130 mg, 17%). 1H NMR (300 MHz, CDCl3) δ 1.27 (s, 9H), 2.54 (s, 3H), 6.45 (s, 1H), 6.81 (d, J=8 Hz, 1H), 7.12-7.28 (m, 5H), 7.29-7.43 (m, 2H) 8.49 (d, J=6 Hz, 1H); LC-MS (ESI) m/z 351 (M+H)+.
