5-(5-Ethyl-2-methyl-6-oxo-1,6-dihydropyridin-3-yl)thiophene-2-sulfonyl chloride is reacted with dimethylamine as described in Step 5, Example 24 to give the title compound as a solid (61% yield). LC/MS: RT 3.68 min; m/e 327 (M+H); 1H NMR (δ, ppm): 11.84 (1H, s), 7.61 (1H, d), 7.38 (1H, s); 7.28 (1H, d); 2.69 (6H, s), 2.39 (2H, q), 2.33 (3H, s), 1.07 (3H, t).
