To a solution of 2-(3-((7-methoxy-3-(2-(methylamino)pyrimidin-4-yl)naphthalen-1-yl) amino)propyl)isoindoline-1,3-dione 181 (95 mg) in ethanol (10 ml) was added hydrazine hydrate (0.1 ml) and the mixture stirred at 80° C. 3 hours. After cooling the mixture in an ice bath the precipitate formed was filtered off and washed with ice cold ethanol. The filtrate was evaporated to dryness to yield N1-(7-methoxy-3-(2-(methylamino)pyrimidin-4-yl)naphthalen-1-yl) propane-1,3-diamine 182 as a yellow solid which was used in the next step without further purification.
