The title compounds was obtained as a yellow solid following the procedure for 5-bromoisoquinolin-3-ol and 7-bromoisoquinolin-3-ol, using N-(4-bromobenzyl)-2,2-dimethoxyacetamide. 1H NMR (400 MHz, DMSO-d6): δ=6.87 (s, 1H), 7.42 (dd, J=2.0 & 8.4 Hz, 1H), 7.87 (d, J=8.8 Hz, 1H), 8.00 (d, J=2.0 Hz, 1H), 8.93 (s, 1H), 11.07 (brs, 1H). MS(ES+): m/z=224.04/225.93 (88/100) [MH+]. HPLC: tR=2.41 min (polar—5 min, ZQ3).
