The title compound was prepared from 2-chloro-4-trifluoromethyl-6-(4-trifluoromethyl-phenyl)-pyrimidine (example A.2) (1.31 g, 4.0 mmol) and commercially available 4-iodo-imidazole (0.85 g, 4.4 mmol) according to the general procedure IVa. Obtained as a pink solid (1.88 g, 97%). MS (ISP) 485.3 [(M+H)+]; mp 194° C.
