3-Fluoro-4-[1-(2,3,6-trichlorophenyl)ethoxy]aniline was prepared according to the method described in Example 20e but from 0.093 g of platinum oxide and 1.5 g of 1,2,4-trichloro-3-[1-(2-fluoro-4-nitrophenoxy)ethyl]benzene in 100 cm3 of methanol.
