Using the same procedure as describe in example B.1 and adding a small amount of potassium iodide to the reaction mixture, intermediate 2 was reacted with 1,1′-(4-chlorobutylidene)bis[4-fluorobenzene] to form N2-[1-[4,4-bis(4-fluorophenyl)butyl]-4-piperidinyl]-N2,N4,N4-trimethyl-2,4-pyrimidinediamine (comp. 44, mp. 106.3° C.).
