Procedure
2,4-Dichloro-6-(4-chloro-benzyl)-[1,3,5]triazine (0.78 g, 2.8 mmol) was added at 5° C. to a solution of 3-methoxy-4-(4-methyl-imidazol-1-yl)-phenylamine (0.61 g, 3.0 mmol) and triethylamine (0.36 ml, 0.26 mmol) in 15 ml of methanol. The mixture was stirred at 5° C. for 1 h and thereafter evaporated under reduced pressure. The residual material was purified by chromatography on silica gel using heptane/0-100% ethyl acetate as eluent to give the title compound (0.53 g, 40%) as a yellow viscous oil.
