Procedure
To a 50 ml flask, 3,4-dihydro-2H-pyrido[4,3-b][1,4]oxazine (1.0 g, 7.34 mmol) and 3-trifluoromethyl-4-methoxy-benzoyl chloride (2.1 g, 8.80 mmol) were dissolved in dichloromethane. Triethylamine (2.0 ml, 14.68 mmol) was added thereto and then stirred at room temperature for 4 hours. To the reaction mixture, water was added to quench the reaction and the mixture was extracted with dichloromethane, and the combined organic layer was washed with water and saturated saline solution, dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate (Na2SO4), filtered and evaporated under reduced pressure.
