Reaction Steps

A mixture of the product of example 63 (150 mg) and solid KOH (51 mg) in ethanol (5 ml) and water (5 ml) was stirred at 78° C. for 1 h. At room temperature, the reaction mixture was acidified with an aqueous HCl solution (1.0 M) until pH=1-2 and extracted with dichloromethane. The organic layer was washed with brine, dried (MgSO4), filtered and concentrated in vacuo.
