Procedure
To N-(1-{[4-iodo-2-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]methyl}-1H-pyrazol-3-yl)-3-methyl-4-pyridinecarboxamide (for a preparation see Intermediate 39)(20 mg) dissolved in methanol (1 ml) was added 4.0 M hydrochloride in 1,4-dioxane (0.85 ml, 3.40 mmol). The solvent was removed under a stream of nitrogen and dried in a vacuum oven at 40° C. for 1 h to give the title compound as a white solid (19 mg); LCMS: (System 4) MH+=487, tRET=2.51 min.
