Procedure
A mixture of 2-[3-(5-amino-3-methyl-3,6-dihydro-2H-[1,4]oxazin-3-yl)-phenyl]-6-chloro-indole-1-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester formate (12 mg, 0.02 mmol) and hydrochloric acid in dioxane (4M) was left at room temperature for 7 hours. For the workup, the solution was evaporated at reduced pressure and the residue dried at high vacuum to yield the (RS)-5-[3-(6-chloro-1H-indol-2-yl)-phenyl]-5-methyl-5,6-dihydro-2H-[1,4]oxazin-3-ylamine hydrochloride as an amorphous brown material. MS (ISP): m/z=340.1 [M+H]+.
