A solution of (RS)-{5-[3-(5-cyano-pyridin-3-yl)-phenyl]-5-methyl-5,6-dihydro-2H-[1,4]oxazin-3-yl}-carbamic acid tert-butyl ester (49 mg, 0.13 mmol) in dichloromethane (1.5 ml) was treated with trifluoroacetic acid (1.03 ml, 13.3 mmol). The orange colored solution was stirred at room temperature for 30 minutes. For the workup, the solution was evaporated at high vacuum. Heptane was added to the oily residue, and the resulting suspension was evaporated at reduced pressure. After drying at high vacuum the title compound was obtained as a brown solid (49 mg, 98% of theory). MS (ISP): m/z=293.1 [M+H]+.
