To a solution of 2 [6-(thiazolo[4,5-b]pyridin-2-yloxy)-benzofuran-3-ylmethyl]-carbamic acid tert-butyl ester (0.10 g, 0.25 mmol) in DCM (1.2 mL) was added 2 M HCl in diethyl ether (0.38 mL). The reaction was stirred (rt, 16 h) before additional HCl (0.38 mL) was added. The reaction was stirred (rt, 24 h) and concentrated to provide the title compound as a white solid (98 mg, 130%). Additional mass is likely due to retained HCl and/or solvent. MS (ESI): mass calcd. for C15H11N3O2S, 297.06; m/z found, 298.1 [M+H]+.
