A suspension of 2,4-difluorobenzamide (5 g, 32 mmol) in DMF-DMA (10 mL) was heated at 120° C. for 2.5 h, allowed to cool down to RT and filtered to afford the title compound as a white solid (6.16 g, 91%). 1H NMR (CDCl3): 8.60 (1 H, s), 8.19-8.12 (1 H, m), 6.91-6.79 (2 H, m), 3.19 (6 H, m).
