Procedure

1H-Pyrazol-3-ylamine (2 g, 24 mmol) and 1,3-dioxo-1,3-dihydro-isoindole-2-carboxylic acid ethyl ester (5.3 g, 24 mmol) are stirred in THF (70 ml) at room temperature for 18 hours. The reaction mixture is then concentrated to half volume and filtered to remove the titled compound which is washed with methanol followed by diethyl ether.
