Procedure
163 mg (0.851 mmol) of N-(dimethylaminopropyl)-N'-ethylcarbodiimide hydrochloride are added at room temperature to a solution of 150 mg (0.568 mmol) of 5-aminomethyl-2,3-dimethoxy-7-nitroquinoxaline and 165 mg (0.738 mmol) of 4-(dimethylphosphono)butyric acid in 3 ml of methylene chloride and the mixture is stirred for 30 hours. The mixture is then diluted with methylene chloride and washed with 0.2N hydrochloric acid and brine and concentrated on a rotary evaporator, and the residue is dried in a high vacuum. The title compound is obtained as a yellow resin.
