A solution of 6-(2-(tert-butoxycarbonyl(isopropyl)-amino)thiazol-5-yl)-8-phenyl-imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine-2-carboxylic acid (100 mg, 0.2 mmol) in 3 ml of TFA was stirred at room temperature for 2 hours. The solvent was removed under vacuum and the residue purified by HPLC to give 40 mg of 6-(2-(isopropylamino)thiazol-5-yl)-8-phenylimidazo[1,2-a]pyridine-2-carboxylic acid. LCMS (Conditions C): 2.27 min (RT); (M+H)+=379.34 (100%). 1H NMR, 400 MHz, DMSO: δ 8.64 (s, 1 H), 8.52 (s, 1 H), 8.13 (d, J=7.3 Hz, 2 H), 7.83 (m, 2 H), 7.57-7.47 (m, 3 H), 3.87 (m, 1 H), 1.23 (d, J=6.5 Hz, 6 H).
