Coupling of 4-bromo-2-methyl-quinolin-8-ol (400 mg. 1.68 mmol) with 3-methyl-3H-imidazole-4-carbonitrile (450 mg. 4.20 mmol) according to the synthesis of 2-methyl-4-(1-methyl-1H-imidazol-2-yl)-quinolin-8-ol yielded the title compound. MS (m/z): 265.2 [M+H+].
