(R/S)-3-(tert-Butoxycarbonylamino)-1-(4-bromo-5-isoquinolinesulfonyl)-piperidine (Intermediate 2) can be prepared from 4-bromo-5-isoquinolinesulfonyl chloride and 3-(tert-butoxycarbonylamino)piperidine (AstaTech) according to the method described in Example 1-1, Step A, and then used in the method of Example 1-1, Step B in a similar manner to obtain the title compound as hydrochloride.
