Reaction Steps

The product from example 1 step (i) (0.9 g) was treated with 1.0M boron tribromide in DCM (3.10 ml) in dry DCM (20 ml) and stirred at room temperature for 1 hour. The mixture was quenched in ice water and extracted with DCM, dried (MgSO4) and concentrated under reduced pressure to give the sub-title compound, yield 0.9 g
