Obtained from Intermediate 39 (1.2 g, 3.46 mmol) by the procedure described in Intermediate 21. Ethyl 4,4,5,5-tetrafluoro-6-(3-phenylpropoxy)hexanoate was obtained (1.0 g, 82%) as oil.
