Methanesulfonyl chloride (27.0 μL, 0.348 mmol) was added to a stirred solution of 3d (100 mg, 0.232 mmol) and DIPEA (101 μL, 0.580 mmol) in DCM (2.00 mL) at 0° C. After approximately 1.5 h, the reaction mixture was poured into water and extracted three times with EtOAc. The combined organic extracts were washed with water, brine, dried (sodium sulfate) and concentrated in vacuo to afford the title compound 3e, which was used without further purification in the subsequent reaction.
