To a solution of 2.1 g 4-(2-{[5-((R)-1-Benzyloxycarbonyl-ethoxy)-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazole-3-carbonyl]-amino}-acetyl)-piperazine-1-carboxylic acid butyl ester in 60 ml ethyl acetate were added 0.4 g Pd/C (10%) and the suspension stirred under an atmosphere of hydrogen (3 bar) for 12 h. The reaction mixture was filtrated over a plug of Celite, washed with ethyl acetate and concentrated to give the crude product which was used in the subsequent reaction. Yield: 1.8 g
