To a solution of 900 mg of 10f and 1 ml of triethyl amine in 10 ml of ether was added at 0° C. a solution of 500 μl of ethyloxalyl chloride in 5 ml of ether. The reaction mixture was stirred for ½ h and then quenched by addition of 5% aq. NH4Cl and extracted with ethyl acetate. The organic layers were combined and washed with 1M K2CO3 and water, dried and concentrated, to give 1.03 g of 10g as an oil.
